Oversized Outhouse

He had never seen a system this big. "Really? You've never seen a system this big?" "Nope." I stood sweating, breathing hard, dirt under my boots and a spade in my gloved hands, speaking with the man in charge of the Ozark city water department.

After being forced to make the discouraging decision to cancel our fall Discipleship Training School, shovelling dirt, laying pipe, and operating equipment felt pretty good. Last week we installed the new septic system for the cafetorium. That's three new systems in three years on the campus. I only observed the first time, the second I helped with parts, but I didn't miss a minute of this third one.

Five thousand gallons of tank, 2,200 feet of pipe, six dump truck loads of gravel, a crew of five YWAM staff and two volunteers, and we had installed a septic system bigger than any seen by the head of the Ozark city water.

It encourages me to see progress made on the campus. Soon we'll reach the three year anniversary of purchasing this property, and we've made a lot of good improvements in that time.

What a fun way to describe a mundane subject like septic systems. Great writing, Josh.

you look fantastic driving that thing Josh. Come out to Saskatchewan if you want to see some real heavy equipment though.
